Of all the faces that pass through the doors of STA Travel, the young person’s travel planner of choice, arguably the most important are those of its own people. After all, they’ve been there and done that – and are only too happy to pass on their knowledge to the next customer.

So it made sense to use these same staff when creating a new brand for STA Travel’s internal communications. Called ‘face to face’, its aims were to instil a greater sense of belonging among the company’s global teams, and create a friendlier platform from which to convey corporate messages. Our brandbooks, which were tailored to suit both manager and design teams, explained what the new style was all about while showcasing its look and feel.

We launched ‘face to face’ by making an introductory video and sending it to everyone in a branded HTML email. That this achieved an open rate of almost 51% (when 25% is considered excellent) in some regions, tells you that the new brand has made a great first impression.
